Are you a White Crow?

White Crow is, of course, a metaphor. I have never seen a real one, although I heard that they exist.  White Crows are people and the possess certain character traits that set them off from the murder of the common crows.

Here is a list of the more commonly seen characteristics:

White Crows are intelligent. They turn their intelligence inward to understand how their mind works.  They can then turn outwards and interact freely with the world.

They are observant and adaptable.

They think for themselves.  And, they think a lot.

White Crows appear white only to other white crows, although they may choose to disclose themselves when needed.

As much as they think, they also feels what there is to be felt, as real power comes from the unity of feeling and thinking.

White Crows fly the route of their own choosing, although at times they appear to be flying with the murder.

They abide by the rules of the murder, but can bend those rules without breaking them in order to stay their course.

They have a very keen understanding of their black–feathered brethren and are able to "read" them.
White Crows don't pretend to know what is best either for the entire murder or for any individual member.

They don't recognize conventions imposed by the murder as boundaries, but only as guidelines for getting along with the society at large
.
White Crows can be born that way or can become such later in life. Once they recognize themselves as White Crows, they can never go back to being otherwise.  Their journey starts at the recognition and continues on.

Whites Crows fly towards clarity, exposing the many myths (prescribed conventions)  along the way.  Their journey is never finished and they find younger white crows to whom they transmit their knowledge and experience.

But, most of all, they are here to serve other white crows, who, in turn, will serve our entire human race.  This service is given freely, without expectations of any return.
